What happens if I stop using fillers?
Donβt worry! You will not spontaneously combust and your face will not melt!
All joking aside. This is a very common question I get asked. So, here is my common answer. It goes back to my derm days....
Patients use to get concerned over using Rogaine for hair loss and wonder if they would be worse off if they stopped it years down the road. I would reply, βyou will probably be better off. You hair (in the filler case, facial volume), would be retained for a longer period of time than normal with the use of Rogaine. If you stop the Rogaine (or filler), the hair (facial volume) will gradually fall out (get metabolized by the body) and eventually settle to the baseline it would have been if you had never started the Rogaine (filler). ππΌ
So with all that said, you will certainly not be worse off if you start fillers. On the contrary, you could even be better off if you use a collagen stimulating product like Sculptra or Radiessee as your filler of choice. ππΌ
