When can you get a facial after after injections?

How long should you wait to get a facial after injections?

It all depends on the injection….

For neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport, I recommend 24 hours.  I have always been taught that the proteins typically are all in the receptors within 1 hour.  However, could there be stragglers?   Anything is possible, right? So, just to be on the safe side, wait 24 hours for any face manipulation.  With that said, an easy fix for this is seeing the esthetician for the facial right before you see me for the injections.  This is what most of our patients do.

For injections, I usually recommend waiting 2 weeks for the filler to settle before there is any manipulation of the face.  This includes laying on it for a massage.  A lot of times we lay aliquots of filler on the bone to provide some projection and lift.  When you lay on your face or someone is mashing on it, it may decrease the amount of lift.  I feel waiting 2 weeks should avoid any change in the filler.  Again, having the massage or facial right before the filler would be fine.

See ya soon! XOXO
